"I honestly thought I was destined never to drive...I
passed my test first time..."
 At
38, I honestly thought I was destined never to drive. I’d
tried to learn on several occasions over the past 20 years, but
always given up after eight or so lessons because I hated being
behind the wheel.
However, with two young children I knew I had
to give it a final try, and I can honestly say that a lesser man
than Pete at Ignition Tuition, would have crumbled under
the pressure.
I moaned more or less non-stop and had frequent
anxiety attacks, but whatever I threw at him, he remained
unflappable, good-humoured and positive. He helped me focus on
what I was doing right, rather than beat myself up for the
things I was doing wrong, which helped my confidence to develop.

He has astonishing patience: he was happy to go over and over
something literally 100 times (like the Tunbridge Wells one-way
system!) until it stuck in my subconscious. And I got the
impression he really puts himself out for his pupils. I had to
fit my lessons around the children, and Pete often sacrificed
his lie-ins on both Saturday and Sunday mornings to take me out
for an hour. The outcome was that I passed my test first time,
with only two minor faults. Thank you so much, Pete!
